Susquehanna Invitational

The first outdoor meet of my Bucknell career! Also the first time I purposely jumped into water while running a race. Also, I have some video of some of the races if anyone would be interested in watching.

Before I had assistance with the digital photos/video switch, the 5K went off. So, with some quick switching from one medium to the other, I caught this one of Alison.

Then I took this one of Stef before quickly switching to videotape their race.

Alison and Mollie had the equipment for the women's steeplechase, and I'm guessing Alison shot these pictures since Mollie took the video. Here's Jamie after the water pit.

This is Kelly after the water pit, with me approaching, and some random girl who does not look very happy in the water.

I took the camera back for the men's steeple (although Mollie still had the camcorder), and shot this cool picture of Matt and KC. Unfortunately it's a little dark, but nothing compared to those indoor pictures.

Here's Matt right after hurdling a barrier.

At this point I found Julie and gave her the camera, while I took the camcorder back. Since Katie won her heat, Julie figured it would only be fair to take tons of pictures.

Unfortunately, only four of these pictures were clear enough to make the webpage, but still. This is Katie in the 1500m.

At this point Katie has taken off and left the pack.

Here's Katie finishing the race, with the closest girl...pretty far behind her.

This is Emily in the second heat of the 1500m, a race that had to be restarted because Emily spiked some girl and made her fall. Props!

To avoid the girl who fell, Linda ran off the track and into a garbage can. Here's Linda...running a race! Yes, running a race!

Linda in the 1500 again, not tripping over the trash.

Here's Mollie in the last heat of the 1500m, a race she absolutely loves and gets oh-so-stoked about. Bet she can't wait to run a 10K.

This actually looks like a picture I would take if I screwed up the zoom or timing of a picture, even though Julie took it. Somewhere around here me and Julie started arguing whether it's better to zoom in on a picture or to take it from far away but include all of the runner's limbs. This is Fonz in the 1500m.

After that, Julie suddenly got really good at taking pictures. Here's Fonz again, only in a sweeter shot.

I think I'm giving Julie my camera every meet. Here's an awesome picture of Alec in the 1500m.

Here's a cool shot of Steve in the next heat of the 1500m.

Julie and I spent quite a bit of time "ooh"-ing and "ahh"-ing over this picture. We're such running nerds. Anyway, very sweet shot of Petillo in the 1500m.

Julie was rather trigger happy with the camera, and when nothing was happening on the track, she looked for subjects off the track. Then she decided that Kelly and Billy would be "a cute picture."

If Kelly and Billy were "a cute picture," Julie jumped at the chance of catching this one of Kelly and Fonz hugging.

I got jealous of Leanna and Skone's jersey singlet switching picture, so I made Ann wear my track uniform. Eww...it's all wet from steeple too. I also corrected her form when she posed in a way that would be impossible to run in.

Cadie and Alec in the car, getting ready to go back to Bucknell.

Thought this finished with indoor track? Yeah, so did I. Oh well!
